I feel so detached from my blog. I had to revisit it today for the first time in months after a Social Responsibility committee meeting we had at school. The committee expressed concern over the lack of social conscience we are seeing in our grade 6/7 students. We notice a lot of self absorption and selfish actions from them and want to come up with ways of improving their social responsibility and offer leadership opportunities. I knew right away that I would have to revisit my blog. Thank goodness I had the time and a course on social responsibility that allowed me to create this blog and a list of valuable links. I hope to share it with my colleagues and hopefully we can create a positive school community again.
